Investment firm's knitted quilt billboard.

(click images) Feeling cold and vulnerable after being ass-raped by the i-bank industry implosion? Allan Gray, South Africa's largest investment firm, recently erected this security blankie billboard made of over 900 fabric squares near Cape Town airport. The board continues the firm's "patience" marketing strategy previously exhibited by this puzzle billboard and the below TV spot—where a boy courts/champions a plain girl (who actually is quite pretty) because, we discover, she has a smoking-hot mother. Not especially confidence-building, but much better than the usual bad metaphor investment ads, like these (via).

In the video, do you think it's because she has a smokin' hot mom -- or because he sees her "potential" (mentioned in the voiceover) and he has the patience to wait for her to grow up and be smokin' hot like her mom?

I think it's the latter, but...the boy could be a progressively horny little bastard looking to eventually bang the mom (when she divorces), I guess. Or maybe he's thinking he could get both of them?

Knitting and quilting are two different and unrelated crafts. Check your headline.

I know that——my dead grandma was a hillbilly quilter...I'm lazy and just don't give a shit. You want to write a new headline on your own computer screen with a grease pencil, you go right ahead.
